 Sloppy Kiss CardsSloppy Kiss Cards was looking for an interactive animated online card builder and delivery system. Their concept was to have a series of animated cards where users could select a story, add the dog breed of their choice, and further personalize the card with names and message. They also needed a custom system to sign-up new users, manage accounts, schedule cards, and view statistics. At Rogue, we developed a database-driven online animation system with a simple 4-step card builder that allowed users to easily build and send cards to friends and family. Our system allows users to create an address book, schedule cards for immediate use or to be sent on future dates, view who cards were sent to and weather these cards have been viewed. Users can upload their own photos to be inserted into cards as well as upload photos of their dogs for future animated breed options. In addition to the custom payment gateway Rogue was responsible for the website design and concept. We also developed storylines and concepts with this client and created all artwork and animation in house. A big challenge was integrating dynamic flash movies with traditional middleware and database applications. This challenge was compounded by the amount of variables necessary to tame to allow for a truly rich user experience. The result is an online card system with a lot of power and sophistication that is incredibly easy to use. At no point was creativity stifled for technical necessity.
