 U21U21, an international partnership of 17 leading universities, approached us to design a new website and online software system to manage a diverse range of information. They wanted a system that looked professional but also appealed to university students. Our solution was a sleek but textured design that bridges classic and modern tastes. The site design carries a professional tone without appearing overly formal. The site software provides the ability to easily update content in a number of different formats. Site users have the ability to filter content by a number of criteria by using advanced search options. The site also contains systems designed to build online community. Users can add their own postcards, which after admin approval, become searchable for any student around the world considering an exchange program. Students can also sign-up and utilize an online message-board system and will soon be able to create their own web pages for sharing journals and photos about their exchange experiences.  |
